It's been mentioned once or twice here that Jerome Harrison probably isn't Eric Mangini's favorite player -- that won't matter anymore Harrison has been traded from the Browns in exchange for running back Mike Bell, the Eagles announced on Wednesday.

The news, first reported by FOX's Jay Glazer, is surprising in that it's a straight RB-for-RB swap, but probably works out for both teams.

Harrison, who put up monster numbers at the end of last year, has been in Mangini's doghouse, so the deal makes sense for the Browns -- they add to their running back depth and get rid of a player the coaching staff either a) doesn't appreciate, b) considers a malcontent or c) both.

For the Eagles, it's a logical move as they improve the quality of their running backs overall by grabbing a better change-of-pace back for the suddenly-quite-physical LeSean McCoy.

You're a complete tool. Read my comment again. I said grammar doesn't matter when it comes to talking about football. I never said anything about how stupid people are for not using proper grammar. So you go ahead and learn how to read then get back to me. I said the trade for harrison doesn't make the eagles any better. So your shitty eagles can keep continue being 2nd best in pennsylvania and being 3rd sometimes 4th best in the NFC east. I hope you're done crying with the phillies sucking as bad as they normally do. With that OVERRATED pitching roster..and aside from utley just as OVERRATED batting lineup. I understand that philly is the loveable losers of sports. But you might as well check out this other city in pennsylvania called pittsburg.....it is FILLED with winners. Let me know how that works out for you.

Thanks for correcting.  Deluxe covered it on page 3 and I should have done more research on when the Eagles picked Bell up before chiming in.

I don't know that Harrison got a fair enough shake in Cleveland, but the trade hopefully helps both teams.  Maybe a change of scenery is exactly what Harrison needs to step it up more consistently.

The Eagles will love getting Harrison. He fits right in with their offense. Tough runner and good pass receiver.

I don't know Harrison well enough to say if this is an upgrade or not for the Eagles.  Many think it is so good for Andy Reid and whoever the QB.  But come on!  Does it really matter who the Eagles RB is/are?  This is a past 1st, 2nd, and 3rd offense and the RB needs to be someone who can catch, block, run occasionally.  Brian Westbrook improved his blocking over time as he came to the Eagles with good hands and quick feet but he was special and a unique fit for the west coast offense of Andy Reid's.  Do I hope Harrison can help?  Of course I do but if McCoy is the man then the RB that spells him occasionally needs to be very similar in abilities.  Otherwise you're just telling the defense what's coming next based on a RB with different strengths/skills.  I know that in an offense that runs more, a variety of RB styles is important but not in this offense.
